Armenia’s Interior Ministry reported that a truck loaded with wheat overturned after colliding with a passenger bus and a parked car at an intersection of Heratsi and Abovian streets near the city center.
The country’s Ministry of Health said that doctors assessed the condition of two of the hospitalized persons as serious but stable, and the condition of eight others as moderate. It added that eight of the injured were receiving appropriate treatment before being discharged.
Several teams of rescuers were working at the scene of the collision in the morning.
Police had reportedly launched a criminal investigation and were examining the circumstances and possible causes of the road accident.
